FAQ: Production & manufacturing

What are your average production times?

Each product has its own service level agreement (SLA) with the manufacturing facility producing it. The vast majority of our products are produced within 24-48 hours.

In general, for our most popular GLOBAL SKUs the following SLAs are in place:

Production lab Fine art prints Framed prints Canvas prints
Australia 48-72 hours 48-72 hours 72-120 hours
UK 24-72 hours 24-72 hours 48-72 hours
EU 24-72 hours 24-72 hours 48-72 hours
USA 24-72 hours 96 hours 72-120 hours

However, more complex products, such as our handmade framed prints and canvas prints, can occasionally take up to seven days to make. Each product has an indicative SLA associated with it in terms of hours, which can be found on the individual product pages. We’ll keep you fully informed as your orders move through production.

What is dropshipping?

Dropshipping is a business model where products are shipped directly from the supplier to the customer, eliminating the need for the seller to invest in their own stock while also allowing them to enjoy 100% hands-off fulfllment.

Prodigi connects your ecommerce store with our global print network, enabling us to fulfil orders anywhere in the world. All orders are sent directly to your customers, completely white-label, ensuring that you always maintain a direct relationship with your customer base.

With Prodigi, you can enable print on demand dropshipping for a wide range of products, including custom wall art, personalised gifts, branded merchandise and more.

Check out our Ordering FAQs for more information on how to place orders with Prodigi.

What is white-label dropshipping?

White-label dropshipping is a retail fulfilment method where a merchant purchases products from a third-party supplier, who then ships the products directly to the end consumer, instead of the merchant holding stock themselves.

When products are shipped to the merchant’s end consumer, there is no reference to the third-party supplier on any products or packaging, maintaining the merchant’s brand identity throughout the process.

Will my customers know that Prodigi fulfils my orders?

Prodigi acts as your silent partner. As a white-label dropshipping company, your customers will never know about our involvement.

Our print on demand products integrate seamlessly with your website or ecommerce store, without any Prodigi branding or watermarks on product mockups. You have the freedom to edit descriptions and imagery as you see fit, maintaining full control over your online presence.

As the merchant, you are the public face of the business and retain complete control over all customer service and marketing aspects.

All of our products and packaging are white-label, with the exception of apparel that contains the manufacturer’s label (Gildan, Bella+Canvas, Stanley/Stella, etc.).

How is Prodigi addressing the new GPSR regulations coming into force on 13th December 2024, particularly regarding product labels and instructions for use?

Prodigi is aware of the upcoming General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) and is taking steps to ensure compliance for sales to the UK, EU and Northern Ireland. Until 13th December 2024, specific product information for UK sales can be contained on the merchant’s website. Thereafter, this information will need to be included on or with the product.

Our existing packing slip functionality already provides a way for merchants to include required information with their products. Merchants can utilise this feature to add necessary product details, safety information and usage instructions to comply with GPSR requirements. We encourage merchants to make full use of this functionality to ensure they meet the upcoming regulations. Additionally, we’re working on enhancing our systems to provide more options for including required information.

It’s worth noting that some specific product categories, such as our button pin badges, jigsaw puzzles and temporary tattoos, already include information required under these regulations. We’re currently assessing how to implement these requirements with our third-party manufacturing partners to ensure full compliance across all product lines.

Prodigi is committed to helping our merchants stay compliant with these new regulations. We’ll continue to update our systems and provide guidance as the implementation date approaches.
